Make Your Point offers tailored training in the communication skills required to be effective in national and international government affairs. Its presenters, Peter Rodgers and Francesca Beddie, are former senior Australian diplomats with extensive experience in public sector administration, writing and policy research. They are both qualified trainers, who deliver courses to Australian public servants, as well as to officials working in the Pacific, Asia, Europe and the Caribbean and to groups wishing to have influence in Canberra.

Peter Rodgers is a visiting fellow at the Australian National University’s Asia-Pacific College of Diplomacy and an adjunct senior fellow in the School of Government, Development and International Affairs at the University of the South Pacific.

Francesca Beddie is an adjunct associate professor at the Faculty of Education, University of Canberra.

Our approach

Make Your Point consults closely with clients to develop courses specific to participant needs and which include practical exercises that simulate the demands of the workplace. Such consultation ensures that course content and learning outcomes align with client expectations.

Group sizes

We prefer to work with groups of between 12 and 20 participants, which allows greater peer learning as well as the opportunity for individual feedback.

Course duration

Courses range from a half day to three days in length. Make Your Point also offers individual and small group coaching sessions.
